You are Running a Business !

Don't be under any illusion that because you're working online that you're not running a business. Just like any offline business you need to manage your P&L, cashflow, sales leads and business strategy.
What are your key steps in the lifecycle of a business ?
- Strategize - work out how a short term and long term plan on how you will achieve business success.
- Resource - resource your strategy appropriately - people, tools, infrastructure, stock etc. If you do not resource from the beginning your chances of success are drastically reduced.
- Implement - implement the resourced strategy. Follow the plan and implement to a measureable timeline.
- Review and track - review the implementation on a short term and long term basis. Record your financial results and compare to your strategy.
- Tune - review the results in comparison to your original strategy. If your results are out of sync with your strategy then go back to point 1 and repeat the whole process.
In this case you may either fine tune your short term plan or give it additional time before considering any significant change. If necessary you may need to abandon a campaign. That's right, some campaigns no how much tender care you provide simply won't convert for you so it's best to let go for now. You can always revisit the campaign in the future if you truly think it has merit or have discovered you were making errors in the setup
